Pennsylvania Ballet Academy is the realization of a dream that began more than a decade ago - a dream to build a ballet school unlike any other. We exist to provide professional, classical ballet instruction that teaches students how to find and pursue their Passion, develops their Belief in themselves, and helps them discover the Artistry in dance.

 

Belief. 

We believe professional dance education can help students of all ages and ability levels enjoy fuller, richer lives, and that there's no better place to receive that education than Pennsylvania Ballet Academy. We believe the study of dance yields countless benefits, including improved muscular coordination, flexibility, balance and physical fitness; heightened self-confidence and self-esteem; unique opportunities for personal growth, creative expression and cooperative learning; and the development and appreciation of rhythm and musicality. We are here to help our students get all that and more from their time with us. In addition to our standard slate of classes, PBA offers bALLet, our inclusive dance education program for students with special needs, including physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Through this unique-to-the-area program, we fulfill our desire to provide complete instructional inclusivity - to make dance education accessible to all!

 

Artistry. 

Vanessa Zahorian and Davit Karapetyan, longtime principal dancers with the San Francisco Ballet, serve as the Academy's artistic and creative directors, while former soloist dancers Artur Babajanyan and Marissa Jimenez as Vanessa Zahorian and Davit Karapetyan lead our roster of instructors. With such gifted, acclaimed, and dedicated professionals developing, implementing, and honing our curriculum, Pennsylvania Ballet Academy is able to offer world-class ballet instruction to the pre-professional level for students of all ages and ability levels, in a family-friendly environment and an unsurpassed learning facility.

 

Studio. 

Opened in September 2017, our state-of-the-art, 8,000 square foot facility in Camp Hill, PA offers five studio spaces, including pilates and Gyrotonic® studios, a kitchen café, and a retail space fully stocked with the best in ballet apparel and supplies. With safe, clean, and pleasant studios, meeting spaces, and common areas - as well as expansive grounds where we hold regular performances and community outreaches - Pennsylvania Ballet Academy truly stands alone among dance schools anywhere.
