This class is an introduction to formal ballet training. Classical ballet classes begin at age 3. Students will develop a foundation for ballet in a non-competitive learning environment, fostering a love for dance and music. Exercises promote correct posture, technique and flexibility, while expanding gross motor skills and developing balance and strength. Students are introduced to French vocabulary, movement expression, proper ballet etiquette and discipline.


The uniquely American form of dance that is an excellent introduction for a child into the world of dance. Tap develops posture, rhythm, and coordination. As students learn to put dance steps together in a variety of ways they improve cognitive thinking skills, precise musicality, classroom etiquette and discipline are emphasized.


Students will learn the basic positions, a beginning to barre and center, incorporating the French vocabulary, which is used internationally.

LEVELS 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6

More advanced level 2 and up classes are available. Students with prior experience are required to take a placement class to determine their class level. 


Contemporary is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several genres including modern, jazz and classical ballet. It tends to combine strong but controlled legwork of ballet with modern dance, which stresses on torso. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid movement.
